WESS OSHC values the privacy and confidentiality of all its children, families, and other stake-holders, and is committed to maintaining the security of your personal information and complying with its obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). To facilitate the safe and secure use and storage of child and family information, the Service uses Qikkids (QK) as its chosen third-party ‘Childcare Management Software’. The Service also uses ‘QK Kiosk’ to manage the electronic signing-in and out of children, as well as ‘My Family Lounge’ to allow families access to the parent-portal version of QK.
QK and all of its subsidiaries are a Federal Government approved and registered third-party Childcare Management Software, which allows the Service to link and submit children’s bookings and attendance to the Australian Government’s Department of Human Services, as well as to calculate the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). This is a legal requirement for all approved child-care services, even if families are not eligible to receive the CCS. Whether parents submit a paper or online version of the Enrolment, all information provided to the Service during the enrolment and re-enrolment process is input, stored, managed, and transmitted via QikKids. Under the placement agreement on both the online and paper Enrolment Forms, the Service declares that all information collected on the form will be stored confidentially, and used for the sole purpose of enabling the Service to discharge and maintain its Duty-of-Care for the health, safety, and well-being of children attending the Service. This includes sharing information with West End State School, and/or the P&C, as well as with the Federal or Statement Governments, if requested.
