Overweight and obesity is usually a result of excess energy intake through eating too much food or the wrong type of food, combined with doing too little physical activity or being inactive for too much of the day. The healthy food and drink supply strategy for Queensland schools is all about offering healthy food and drink choices to students in Queensland schools. WESS P&C Tuckshop Anaphylaxis Risk Management Plan 2021 The WESS P&C Tuckshop wishes to remind all parent, carers, students and staff that food served in the tuckshop may contain various allergens such as milk, eggs, wheat (gluten), soy, traces of nuts/tree nuts, fish, mustard. Etc. Such food may be not suitable for people with certain allergies. In order to minimise where we can the risk to those with food allergies, the tuckshop educates staff to be aware of issues related to anaphylaxis and implements strategies reduce exposure to allergens. It is important to note however that we can not provide assurances that any of our foods are allergen free and therefore recommend for those with severe responses to allergens that alternatives for food are brought to school. Please feel free to email us if you wish to know the ingredients of any of our meals.
